Thank you for your mail.
Great to hear that you will be coming to Tanzania - bring plenty warm clothes if you are climbing Kili in June/July!
Our camping fees are $5 pp and we usually have plenty room as we have two sites. If you would like to book a table for dinner please just telephone us or send an sms 2-3 days prior to your arrival +255 (0)754 306144.
The longest route to Kilimanjaro over 900 kms is via Chalinze and Moshi on the tarmac road. The most scenic and shortest about 650 kms is via Dodoma, but the road is dirt most of the way and is rough - hardly any traffic which is not the case with the tarmac road.
There is always plenty of diesel and petrol in Tz and prices at the moment are $1.10 - $1.20 per litre. It gets cheaper the closer to Dar you get.
It is advisable to do either way in two days from here. They will both take you 12 - 13 hours of solid driving.
Hope this helps, but please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any further information.
Kind regards
Nicola Ghaui
